Mr Mrs Logan's wedding day
Anna & Nathaniel came a long way to be married in Dorset, approx 10,600 miles from sunny Australia. They probably thought they were still down in Oz, because the weather was absolutely amazing. Great for the bride, groom, and guests enjoying soaking up the rays whilst sipping a cool drink. Photographically speaking, the strong sunshine can make things a little tricky at times, but this is easily outweighed by everybody having a great time, laughing and smiling. I'd sooner have people looking happy but contrasty, rather than cold, miserable, and perfectly lit ;-)
The bride Anna was preparing for the day at the nearby White Cottage B&B, a lovely little place just a couple of minutes walk from their wedding venue, Athelhampton House. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two very cute, and very vocal, little black piglets. I'm guessing today's greeting will be tomorrow's full English, but they looked very happy and content, and as Elbert Hubbard once said 'Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out of it alive'.
Anna looked amazing, and the dress was absolutely gorgeous. Nataniel was in for a treat, but I'm sure he already knew that.
I left the bride, and popped around the corner to Athelhampton, to see what was afoot. The boys were all spruced up and ready for the off. The ceremony was lovely, and it's such an atmospheric venue that you cannot help but immerse yourself in the moment. I always find myself grinning like a Cheshire cat when the registrar's pronounce the happy couple Man & Wife, you've gotta love a good wedding.
Now time for fun and celebrations. After a few obligatory group photos the guests went through to the Great Court garden, a beautiful setting for drinks, canapés, and the most wonderful live music. Many guests took the opportunity to explore the gardens, and I took the bride and groom away for some romantic photos together (and a little bit of breathing space). I hope you enjoy the photos, and they give you a feel for what was a wonderful day in the (very hot) sun.
